Started the third day with breakfast at Tangos, in Wanaka. Some of you know that Argentina was on my vacation spot short list, so it’s appropriate. Others of you know how, when I lived in Chicago, I knew all the good breakfast spots like the back of my hand. Well – this one would have been on the list. Breakfast was huge and fabulous. I had these pancakes that were really cool…fluted edges – must have been made in a tart pan of some sort, about 1/2 an inch thick, and really light and fluffy. Had my usual scrambled egg on the side and they came with berries and peaches. Mmmm. All of you know I can put away the food…but I was defeated here. Shared some of mine with Imogen, who had a great looking meusli with yogurt, and still couldn’t polish them off. Coming out of the ladies room, the proprietress – shown here – was bragging to the cashier how I couldn’t finish. She was so proud. It was pretty funny. Anyway – if you’re ever passing through here, you need to stop for breakfast!
